A 3-day Symposium with Lectures from world-experts at the University of Patras in Greece, and hands-on training on Advanced Light Microscopy techniques at the Medical School.
Topics covered during lectures will include novel microscopy approaches such as Fluorescence Microscopy and Fluorescence, Lifetime Imaging Microscopy, Single Molecule Localization Microscopy and advanced functional imaging techniques and imaging analysis.
Practical sessions will include:
- Basic principles of imaging for biomedical research: from confocal microscopy to 2-photon whole animal imaging
- Spinning disk microscopy
- Quantitative Image Based Cytometry (QIBC)
- Instant Volumetric High-Speed Imaging of Living Organisms
- Single Molecule Localization Microscopy (SMLM) data acquisition and data analysis
- Imaging organoids
- DNA fibers and DNA combing
Participation for the Symposium is free.
Participation for the Practical Sessions the fee is 100Euros and is limited to 20 participants.
Fellowships covering the registration cost for the practical session are available.
